Senior Network Administrator
Full Time position available in Chilliwack, BC

The IT Department of DeVry Greenhouses is seeking an experienced Systems Administrator to join our team. The successful candidate will play a senior role in leveraging a mix of industry-leading commercial and open-source software and technologies to support the dynamic and growing operations of our innovative organization in our pursuit of constant innovation and dedication to excellence and leadership in our industry.

Here in IT, we support 600+ staff and almost double that number of computers, servers, network hardware, and IoT devices; all collecting, processing, storing, and sharing data and information. Key Responsibilities:
Network Infrastructure Management:
- Configure and maintain switches, routers, and firewalls.
- Manage DNS, DHCP, and wireless networks.
- Ensure network security and uptime.
Server and Systems Administration:
- Manage Windows desktops and servers.
- Administer Active Directory, Group Policies, and WSUS.
- Oversee patch management and antivirus solutions.
- Maintain Hyper-V and Failover Cluster Manager.
- Handle Exchange (on-premises and online), Microsoft 365, Teams, and SharePoint.
Data Security and Disaster Recovery:
- Implement and manage data security measures including EDR, NDR, and phishing protection.
- Develop and maintain disaster recovery tools and processes.
Second-Tier User Support and Training:
- Provide second-tier support for IT issues.
- Conduct user training sessions to enhance IT skills and security awareness.
Linux and Open Source Tools:
- Administer Ubuntu Linux servers and related tools.
- Manage PBX, Docker, Ansible, NetBox, and CUPS.
- Develop and maintain scripts using Python and Bash.
- Utilize Grafana for monitoring and analytics.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
- One or more related Microsoft Azure Certifications
- 3+ years of experience in network and systems administration.
- 3+ years managing Windows desktops and servers.
- Strong knowledge of Active Directory, Azure AD, and Group Policies.
- Experience with patch management, WSUS, PDQ,
- Experience with network hardware & technologies including DNS, DHCP, WiFi, etc.
- Expertise in data security, MFA, EDR, NDR, and phishing protection.
- Experience with Hyper-V, Failover Cluster Manager, systems & data backup strategies & management, and disaster recovery tools.
- Solid experience with Exchange, Microsoft 365, Teams, & SharePoint.
- Competence in administering Ubuntu Linux and other open-source tools and platforms including FreePBX, Docker, Ansible, NetBox, CUPS, & Grafana.
- Strong skills and experience with PowerShell, Bash, PHP, & Python.

Compensation
- Wage is dependent on expertise and experience. Starting at $30.00/hr.
