Planting instructions for patio roses:

  1. Before placing your roses on the patio or repotting them, immerse the pot in a bucket of water for 5 minutes.
  2. Give the roses plenty of water after repotting.
  3. If you leave the roses in the supplied pot, place a saucer under the pot to prevent the rose from drying out.
  4. Do not place the roses in direct sunlight on warm, sunny days (+24°C).
  5. Water the roses every day in warm, sunny weather (+24°C). If you have placed a saucer under the pot, fill the saucer with water as well.
  6. Remove dead flowers.
  7. Once all the flowers on a branch have finished flowering, prune the branch halfway down to encourage the growth of new flowers.
  8. The addition of natural or artificial fertilisers will boost flower production. If you use artificial fertilisers, we recommend a slow-release fertiliser (Osmocote).
  9. The roses can be planted in the garden in autumn. See the planting instructions for garden roses.

Planting instructions for garden roses:

  1. Plant the roses in a sunny spot that receives at least 4 hours of sunlight per day. Make sure there is enough space around each rose.
  2. If you are planting a rose bed, plant 4 roses per square metre.
  3. Avoid planting roses in ground where roses have already been grown. If this cannot be avoided, replace 50 x 50 x 50 cm of the soil with soil from another part of the garden.
  4. Immerse the pot in a bucket of water for 5 minutes before planting the roses.
  5. Loosen the soil where you want to plant your roses with a spade. Dig a hole large enough for the root ball.
  6. Plant the rose so that the top part of the root ball is a couple of centimetres below the surface level of the ground and press the soil down firmly.
  7. Give the roses plenty of water after planting them. Water the plant every week during the first month after planting. Water the plant several times per week in hot, dry weather.
  8. Remove dead flowers.
