The IT Department of DeVry Greenhouses is seeking a skilled Data Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key part in expanding the impact of data across our company by designing and implementing infrastructure that reduces cycle time, improves analytics quality, and enables quick, confident decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

Implement data pipelines for ingesting, transforming, and storing data from a variety of sources.
Model and prepare data for analytics and BI activities.
Collaborate with Data Analysts to enhance their efficiency.
Collaborate with Software Developers to deploy automated, reliable, and scalable processes.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.

Maintenance Manager

Full Time position available in Picture Butte, AB

Our team is seeking an organized and enthusiastic maintenance manager to join our Alberta Operations Team. Reporting to the VP of AB Operations, this role involves managing and organizing all aspects of greenhouse, equipment, and fleet maintenance.

Responsibilities

Maintenance

Work with AB Projects and Facilities Manager to keep all buildings and structures in a state of good repair
Maintain all equipment and vehicles for both the greenhouse and farm in good operating condition. This includes and is not limited to; trucks, trailers, vehicles, tractors and sprayers etc. as well as greenhouses and field equipment (water booms, generators, planting lines, etc.)
Implement and upkeep a preventative maintenance schedule for all equipment and vehicles
Ensure MVI (motor vehicle inspections) are up to date, and all maintenance and repairs documents are current and organized
Build upon and expand the use of RTA for maintenance organization and cost tracking

Support Maintenance and Construction Projects

Support AB Projects and Facilities Maintenance Manager where needed in regards to new construction and major renovations
Ensure maintenance project costs are being tracked for future reference and budgeting

Collaboration

Collaborate with the BC Project/Facilities/Fleet Manager to ensure alignment in maintenance programs across locations
Work together with the AB Operations Team to determine priority and schedule maintenance and projects
Lead the both the greenhouse and shop maintenance crews with their day to day tasks. Ensure they have the tools and parts they need for their jobs, and support them by setting clear expectations and following up where needed
Work together with AB Projects and Facilities Manager on any Capital or Maintenance projects

Safety / Cleanliness

Keep maintenance facilities clean and organized throughout the year
Responsible for enforcing pre-trip inspections, daily maintenance, and ensuring employees have the required training – equipment, safe work procedures, etc.

Qualifications

Automotive or heavy-duty mechanic tickets are an asset
Experience with RTA is an asset
